Yawn ...... lets see this against a 1400 busa...

it took kawasucki 8 years to release something that beats the virtually unchanged busa. they'll enjoy 2 short years of dominance and then.....the '08 busa will one again spank the silly kawi's @$$ for years to come. enjoy it while you can because soon you'll get yet another lesson in dominance!

Muppets, there is no 1400 Busa!

Ya the Kawi spanked the Busa but if you noticed he also had a light which appeared to be about a second better than the Suzuki rider. He killed it out of the hole which is why I believe in this race the Kawi won. I've seen riders on 600cc bikes spank Hayabusas and ZX-14's. When your talking the difference of .10's of seconds it's the RIDER not the bike. Both bikes are capable of beating one another. Put a pro on either bike and see the real races happen.

I totally agree with you, ive seen R1s beating d crap out of zx14s and busa, its all about the rider in drags, I have a busa as well and its fast but at drags if you are not gud enough besically any decent 600cc+ can beat u badly

All true. I beat a mate on a busa with my VTR! Had him out of the hole, he didn't catch me till 3/4 track. It's all in the rider's skill and experience.

What??? Sub 10 quarters is not fast enough. Why argue over which is faster. I have a Busa and love it. Everytime I do 0-100 it gets my heart pumping (and that's something cause I'm 60). I would think anyone would be happy to have either bike and if these machines won't thrill you right out of the shipping box your nuts anyway. My last 5 bikes since 98 have been Harleys, boy was I missing out. Plus now I wear a helmet and like it.

YES, riders and stunters may think drags are all about bikes.... not true!!

otherwise no way in hell R1 can beat busa and ZX14

Yea ... I watched professional racers drag the 07 1299cc Hayabusa against Kawasaki's 1400. They ran 4 times with both bikes winning twice. There was seriously very little distance between the bikes. Now Suzuki has a new '08 1340cc Busa with 12.5:1 compression to top Kawasaki. It will be back and forth for the two manufacturer's on who has the fastest. You can't deny that the Hayabusa is a better built bike.

i went to the drag strip for the first time this year. Went several times. Got an 06 busa. I can tell you that in each and every case it is indeed the rider not the bike. The bikes are so close to performance but here is the bottom line.
The 06 ninja was a 99.9% even match for the 06 busa. With all the tests done across the board, the busa wins but by such a small margin it hardly matters. In 07 ninja remapped the fuel injection and clearly out performed the busa for 07. The busa being the same as the 06 but with hideous color options. Keep in mind that the only way to out perform the busa was for Kawasaki to make the ninja a 1357 cc bike compared to the 1299 cc of the busa. Seems that they could not compete on a level playing field. Nonetheless it was all over in 08 when Suzuki finally unveiled the new busa. Even at 1340cc it clearly and flatly out performs the ninja period. end of statement, game over!..AGAIN. Oh and suk still used less cc's to do it so it kinda adds insult to injury to Kawasaki...That said, ninja does have 2 very obvious advantages. 1. the bike is a great deal smoother. That is undeniable. 2. It is more comfortable for longer trips due to seat configuration. Oh and 3., its ugly as hell....
