Suzuki win the 2007 Le Mans 24 Hours

William Costes won the race on his Suzuki GSX-R1000

Suzuki dominated the 2007 Le Mans 24 Hours race for motorcycles, as GSX-R1000 rider William Costes won the event for the third time! Out of the 56 teams that lined up for the start, only 34 reached the finish line. Team BMW, who made a comeback to top-level endurance roadracing after an absence of 50 years, took 16th place overall on their R1200S-based racebike. And since theirs was the only entry in the open class, they also ended up winning that.

This was the 30th edition of the famous, historic endurance race, and 90,000 spectators are said to have attended the event this year.
