Repsol Honda are stupid, mean-spirited...

Dani Pedrosa, Nicky Hayden and Mick Doohan are featured in this Repsol Honda promo video, but Valentino Rossi, who won two MotoGP world championships aboard Repsol-sponsored Hondas, is not shown! Just how mean and stupid can they be???

I think it is clear, all those that are featured in the video are retired, except Nicky which is his teammate. Rossi is Pedrosa's rival, so they couldn't show him in the video.
Currently Rossi is their bigger rival, so it would be a little bit stupid to show him in their advertisement.

It's a shame. The Doctor is THE BEST rider MotoGP has ever seen and Repsol should be ashamed of treating him so shabbily.

Rossi won 3 world championships with honda, two of them on repsol honda machines. by not featuring rossi in this ad, repsol honda is trying to erase a part of its winning heritage?!?!?

repsol honda team should have included rossi in this advert. not doing so is a shame... :(

who cares! if repsol honda chose to leave him out of this video, rossi's accomplishments were not diminished in any way. it only shows repsol honda in a bad light.

after rossi left repsol honda to join yamaha at the end of 2003, you still expect them to include him in this promo? ha ha and ha!

I agree it would be mean not to include Rossi, and it would only show Honda in a bad light. That's why we should at least consider another possiblity: he wasn't featured because YAMAHA didn't want him to be. It might be a part of his contract or something, that he can not be seen promoting Yamaha's competitors. It would make sense.

Actually, I think sponsorship contracts had something to do with it. Pretty much the same reason why riders wear plain leathers (ie. Lorenzo's white leathers) & bikes have plain fairings when testing at the end of a season.

Rossi is currently contracted out with FIAT and I'm sure Rossi would have sued Repsol or Honda had they included him in their ads.

I think Mick still has some stakes with Honda.

I agree with the fact that Rossi is Pedrosa's rival now and Nicky is his teammate. It's not about denying Rossi a part of the vid but keeping the current squad and retired riders. To add, Doohan always rode a Honda and so did Nicky and Dani. I really think this is over done. And if everyone remembers right, Rossi leaving Honda wasn't just a parting, the two had bitter thoughts.

All and all though, i think not including Rossi isn't the end of the world.
