With the Germans in charge of auditing quality control at the Chinese-owned Italian motorcycle company, things must be quite all right we suppose
Benelli Q.J. may be Chinese-owned, but it’s certainly not scrimping on quality. The company is now UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 certified. The company’s operations in Pesaro, Italy, were inspected and the quality of its workmanship was analyzed by TUV, and apparently they were happy with what they saw.
Benelli was renamed Benelli Q.J. in 2005, after QianJiang, a Chinese company, bought over the ailing Italian marque. Benelli Q.J. is now looking at a significant expansion of its sales and service network. By 2011, the company hopes to be making up to 6,000 motorcycles per annum.
