First pics: 2009 Kawasaki ER-6n, ER-6f and Versys

The Kawasaki ER-6n and ER-6f get styling updates and new colours

The 2009 Kawasaki ER-6n and ER-6f get some styling updates, new instrumentation, and mildly tweaked engines for more consistent low- and mid-range power delivery. Both bikes are powered by the same 650cc parallel twin, which produces 72bhp at 8,500rpm. New colours include metallic orange, white and metallic blue. The 2009 Versys just gets some new colours - the bike remains unchanged mechanically.

Dull, dull, dull and... DULL! Come on Kawasaki, you can do better than this. Love the new ZX-6R though... :-)

i suppose these are the kind of nice, learner friendly bikes that should give us all a warm, fuzzy feeling. but do they have to be so boring? i mean, can't kawasaki spice things up a bit? maybe they should look at KTM for some inspiration?

Finally, affordable bikes that look good! GO KAWA! I have a '03 Z1000 and even thou the twin engine on the er-6 is not as powerful I love it 'cause is different and has decent pull, a Supermoto version of the er-6 would be a blast!!!

german tuner LSL has made something resembling a Supermoto, on the basis of a ER-6n. well worth a look

Just Picked My new 2009 ER-6N up last week, nearly run in now and what a great Bike, loads of torque and very nimble. It would be very learner friendly and any problems with the old ER6 have been illiminated. I can`t fault it on anything. I shopped around before settling on this bike and test rode a few. What can I say. If you just want a fun bike, cheap, quick and nimble and good looking, this is it. If you want a widdow maker look elsewhere.
