Motorcycles: White said Fred?

While the 848 was always available in white, the 2009 Ducati Hypermotard and Multistrada 1100 have also been given a 'pearl white' paint option. The 2009 Hayabusa gets a new white paintjob, as do the 2009 Yamaha R6, FZ6R and R1

Red, blue, black, orange, green, yellow and silver seem to have had their day. When it comes to bikes, everyone seems to want a white one these days. Or at least it looks that way, because so many manufacturers are painting their bikes white. KTM, Yamaha, Piaggio, Harley, Guzzi, MV, Buell, Honda, BMW, Ducati… you name it. Everyone’s saying white’s right. What do you think? Would you buy a white bike…?

I hate white paint. If someone was to offer to give me a white automobile, I would refuse it. Somehow, white on certain bikes does look good. The Moto-Guzzi V7 Classic would look great in any colour!

white power? bah! as a colour for bikes, white just plain sucks. i'd much rather have red or even black. but white, no!

hmm.. doesn't look too bad to me... but then white has been available on most bikes for decades. it's not really a new trend, is it? some of the coolest 70s and 80s bikes used to be white

I LOVE WHITE!! THE WHITE HAYABUSA ROCKS AND SO DOES THE DUCATI 848. RED IS SO PREDICTABLE. IF I HAD THE CASH FOR A 848 OR 1098 I'D GET WHITE.

I will still have matt black on my bikes.

I am considering to buy a '01 VFR, one of the related project will be to paint it white. Of course some stylish red stripe necessary, not to have a 'plain' bike. :)

(And R1's competition white roxx!)

I have a white Ducati S4RS. It looks great and draws many compliments.
