2009 Honda XL700V Transalp gets new colours, ABS

The 2009 Honda XL700V Transalp, now with C-ABS

The iconic, dual-purpose Honda XL700V rides into 2009 with new colours - the ones you see here - and Honda’s latest C-ABS anti-lock brakes. The engine is the same 680cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected v-twin as last year, now tweaked for full Euro 3 compliance. It produces 60bhp at 7,750rpm and 60Nm of torque at 5,500rpm – and it’s said to be one of the most reliable engines on the planet.

The XL700V Transalp weighs 214kg and can carry 17.5 litres of fuel. It may not have changed much, but for long distance adventure touring, this Honda remains one of the best motorcycles ever.
