Ducati has announced the 848 Nicky Hayden Edition, which was unveiled yesterday at the Laguna Seca circuit. The bike, which will only be available in the US, comes with a special paintjob, Nicky Hayden’s autograph on the gas tank and a sticker price of $14,495.
The Ducati 848 weighs 168kg and packs 134 horsepower and 96Nm of torque from its Testastretta Evoluzione engine. The 2010-spec bike gets new bits like LED dash illumination for better visibility, aluminium cam belt tensioner pulleys for reduced weight and moving mass (in turn enabling better acceleration) and a redesigned, lighter crankcase. And, of course, it looks just as cool as ever... :-)
