When it was launched back in 2006, the Piaggio MP3 quite amazed the world with its two independently sprung, tilting front wheels. The little trike was a paradigm shift for three-wheelers and the way people expected three-wheeled vehicles to handle. With more than 80,000 of these having been sold all over the world since then, Piaggio’s belief in the MP3 has been thoroughly vindicated.

For 2011, Piaggio have unveiled a new version of the MP3 – the MP3 Yourban – which is available with single-cylinder 125cc (power figures not quoted) and 300cc (22bhp, 23Nm) engines. The Yourban (terrible, terrible name...) features various cosmetic mods over the regular MP3 and has a storage compartment that can accomodate up to crash helmets or things like a laptop computer. We like the MP3, though we prefer its cousin, the 500cc Gilera Fuoco, which brings proper Mad Max-style madness to the tilting trikes segment... :-D

The scooter looks nice enough, the name 'Yourban' is just horrible!
