Tudor is now Ducati's official timing partner. The Swiss watchmakers were using motorcycles to sell their watches even back in 1952... :-)
Ducati and have announced a new partnership with Swiss watchmakers, Tudor, who are now Ducati’s official timing partners. Tudor will soon launch a commemorative timepiece dedicated to Ducati and this, according to a press release from Ducati, will be “perfectly aligned with the exciting world of speed, motorcycles and racing.”
The Tudor Fastrider, a stainless steel waterproof chronograph that incorporates a self-winding movement with a power reserve of 46 hours, will be available in various versions, with a choice of leather strap, stainless steel bracelet or black fabric strap. The watch will also feature red-and-white colour scheme references from Ducati sportsbikes.
Incidentally, both Ducati and Tudor we set up back in 1926 and an advertisement, which Tudor released back in 1952 (see image on top), spoke of a Tudor watch being able to withstand the rigours of a 1,600km motorcycle rally.
